David Cohen-Tanugi is a venture builder in fusion & clean energy at Proto Ventures, MIT's venture studio. In this role, he develops new companies that leverage people and technology at MIT and that could transform the fusion & clean energy industry. David has over a decade of experience in technology commercialization. He obtained his Ph.D. from MIT's Department of Materials Science & Engineering in 2015 and cofounded Embr Labs, an MIT spinoff commercializing temperature tech. He was a MIT Energy Fellow and has been recognized by Forbes' 30 Under 30 award (2014) and by MIT Technology Review's French Innovators Under 35 award (2015).
