Dr. Edward Moses is a leading authority on fusion science, technology, and energy markets. He was the Director of the National Ignition Facility (NIF), the world’s largest and most energetic laser system and the only facility to have demonstrated fusion burn with gain, a disruptive step forward in the development of commercial fusion energy.

Longview Fusion Energy Systems is based on this only proven fusion process, and also a laser fusion power plant design study shaped and betted by eight major US utilities, technology manufacturers, and the regulatory community. This confluence is unique in the commercial fusion industry.

Dr. Moses is experienced in commercialization of other large scale high tech efforts. He was Program Director for the Atomic Vapor Laser Isotope Separation Program (AVLIS) creating the highest average power visible laser system for industrial scale modification of high value materials. He was also President of the Giant Magellan Telescope Organization, Inc, a coalition of leading international universities working to build the next generation ground-based telescopes.

Dr. Moses has founded two consulting businesses working in the fields of artificial intelligence, cancer radiation therapy, biochemistry, lasers, and fusion technologies.

Dr. Moses is a member of the National Academy of Engineering, a Fellow of the Optical Society of America, the American Association for the Advancement of Science, and SPIE.
